If I think of a basket bag I instantly think of the magnificent Jane Birkin who was always seen rocking one. Only this morning I was watching Coco before Chanel and she had the most fabulous mini one! The last couple of seasons they have just been getting ever more popular and although in the past they were more regularly associated with the beach, this is no longer the case. They look equally as chic on a day to day basis. Below are some of my favourites.
Is it too early for a beach bag? There is nothing I love more than a good basket! I love it when it gets to this time of year and they start emerging on the high street. Below are some of my favourites around at the minute.
Colour seems to be reappearing everywhere, from the yellows of the daffodils to the whites of the snowdrops. I had colour on today for the 1st time in a long time. It must be the spring like feel in the air, but I now want to start injecting some colourful pieces back into my wardrobe. Last week I brought you pink and this week I am bringing you blue. Not the blue I am usually waffling on about (navy and pale blue) but bright beautiful cobalt blue. Mango have some stunning pieces as does Topshop and although you may fear it, it really does seem to brighten up not only your mood, but also your complexion. Honestly, today in my bright blue jumper I received many compliments on how well I look (unheard of in the miserable winter months). So if you fancy giving it a try, below are some of my picks from the high street. For more inspiration check out Pinterest here.
Love it or loathe it pink is here to stay. It’s been filtering in through the last couple of seasons and it is most definitely still around for spring/summer 17. The high street is full of it so I have chosen my favourites. My advice would be to treat it as a neutral. Try wearing it from head to toe in different shades of pink or mix with unexpected colours such as yellows and tans.
There’s no denying that colour is huge for S/S 17 and red is definitely one of the must- haves. I think that accessories are one of the easiest ways to introduce a new colour into your wardrobes and there are some beauties around. Treat red like a neutral and add to any of your outfits. It looks truly fabulous with pink or orange (honestly it does). Below I have chosen some of the high streets best. I may have ordered a bag, because obviously I need another one!
Topshop have started to get all of their new season pieces in and it is all very exciting. I have chosen a few of my favourite above and below and I have also added lots to my newly updated ladies shop.
I always want to try something different and steer away from the little black dress once the Christmas parties start, but for some reason I always end up in one. It’s just what I feel comfortable in. They are always chic, always classy and can be dresssed up or down perfectly. I find with a mini style a flat shoe looks perfect, whilst some of the velvet heels this season are beautiful. In fact velvet this season full stop is magnificent. For me, maybe it’s my age, I love a sleeve and I like a loose fit, I can enjoy one too many mince pies without it showing. Below are my carefully selected favourites. Some of them are included in Cyber Monday.
