It feels like January is going on forever and that it is dark most of the day. I have been wearing the same jumpers on repeat and need something fresh to get me out of these rainy days blues. This is where a beautiful new shirt comes in and there are now some gorgeous ones around. Add a cardigan, some jeans with a turn up and your ever classic Stans and you are good to go. The mac is so much more gorgeous in real life (you can roll down the sleeves), I saw it the other day in store and it looks really expensive.
I was lucky enough to attend the Monsoon Press Day on Wednesday in London and I loved every minute of it. Seriously, it was fabulous. By far my favourite outfit of the day was this pyjama suit! Whinnie Williams was DJing wearing this get up and I instantly fell in love. It was SO cool. I had seen all the pyjama trends but thought they were not for me, but she looked so good she definately changed my opinion, here she is in action. If you wanted to make it more dressy you could change the boots for some beautiful heels. I also saw this beautiful jumpsuit being modelled and this pyjama outfit is stunning.
Come winter we all need a leopard coat, honestly we do! Treat them as a neutral and wear them with most of your wardrobes (they look fabulous with stripes). This season there seem to be some beautiful ones around and I have included all my other favourites below. But first some inspiration.
As well as the blog I have another working life where I have to be dressed smart on a daily basis, so today’s post is dedicated to all you ladies, that like me, have to wear suitable office attire. I tried these pants on recently and now regret not getting them as they were beautiful on. The buttons give it the military feel that is so in this season and the fact that they have a high waist makes them very slimming and flattens the tummy. They fasten at the side which I like and they have pockets! I love trousers with pockets! If a wide leg isn’t your thing these crop flares from Boden are beautiful.
There are lots of beautiful new brands at John Lewis and one that has really caught my eye is Modern Rarity, a premium collection of wardrobe staples with a fresh twist. Focusing on luxury fabrics and expert craftsmanship, each piece is divine and wearable for any occasion. Pieces that you will have for season after season and wear again and again. The above culottes would look amazing with heels for a night out, boots in the winter and Stan Smiths on a lazy day. This jumper (in both colour ways) would look fabulous with them. Perfect for layering, these are clothes to invest in.
Marks and Spencer’s have 20% off today (15th) through to Monday (19th) with the code SEPT16A16. So I thought I would bring you some of my favourite pieces. There are so many to choose from. What a gorgeous new collection they have. Shoe wise I also love these, these, theseboots and these. I love this bag, this backpack, these pyjamas, these pyjamas and this hat.
I wore it at the weekend with an off the shoulder top like the one above and I wore it for work on Monday with a white shirt. On both occasions I received lots of compliments. It is seriously comfy and the kind of outfit that looks like you have made an effort when really you have just thrown something on. The earrings I have just put in my basket, I have a very similar old pair from Next that I have worn to death so these can be my replacement, the colour just goes with every outfit. An alternative to the shoes above arethese bargain ballet flats that I have on in the above picture. They are my go to shoes as they are the comfiest ever.
I posted the above outfit on Instagram ages ago and then forgot to put it on the blog, but here it is, in all its magnificentness. So simple yet so chic. Whilst we’re talking simple and chic how much of a bargain is this dress, gorgeous with tights now and bare legs in the summer, with a blouse like this beautiful one under it.
I’m a huge fan of Boden and my new catalogue arrived the other day, which prompted me to search for some new spring items. This denim shirt would be something you could wear with everything, in any season. Under jumpers, over your bikini with the sleeves rolled up, with some black skinny jeans or a peg leg trouser . A classic. It goes up to a size 22 so would also be perfect on a curvier lady. These Dorothy Perkin’s Jeans would be fab with them as they are a darker denim colour.
Have you checked out the new M&S spring 2015 baby range? It’s beautiful, stunning. I fell in love with so many items, I could almost have another baby just to be able to buy some of these perfect little pieces. Here are my favourites. I LOVE the above M&S All Over Printed Floral Set. So chic, wear with grey tights and a cardigan whilst its chillier and then bare legs come summer.
This M&S Pure Cashmere Cardigan above would go perfectly not only with this little set but so many dresses/outfits. I would also put this on my boy over his shirts and stripy tops, I love a cardigan on a boy.
