Today’s post is all about a rescue remedy for sleep. Yes you heard me right. It’s that time of year when the kids wake up earlier and earlier. I just don’t get it, it’s not like it bright sunshine in the morning, it’s pitch black. Bobby has always been an early riser and over the years I have perfected how to make him sleep in longer and with all natural products.

I am totally a person who needs sleep, I always have been, I love it. Poor sleep for me is just horrendous, it makes me feel ill, makes me grouchy and grumpy and makes me totally impatient, sound familiar? I get colds easier and my skin gets dry, dull and spotty. I have been using magnesium for the past year and it has worked wonders for me. I have written about what I use within this post.

I was using the same product for all of us but the kids weren’t that keen on the spray and I was never sure how much I should be using on them. I now use this fabulous Junior lotion. It’s a combination of Magnesium Oil, natural lavender and chamomile, and is suitable from 1 year of age. It’s clinically proven to relax tired muscles, slow sensory activity and quieten the mind, helping our little ones fall into a deeper, more sustained sleep cycle. If you are all desperate for sleep as you are up either in the night or at the crack of dawn then I totally would recommend using this  for  your little people along with the cherry juice I posted about a couple of weeks ago here. I have had so many emails and messages thanking me and saying how it has worked wonders for them. Here is a quote from one of my readers who bought this and the cherry juice recently as she was at her wits end.

Holy crap Shelley, I’ve just had to wake Indie up at 10 to 8!! This is UNHEARD of

This makes me so happy to read. I started my blog as I wanted to help other mums who may be struggling with the same things I was. I don’t know which is the one that works the best as I have always used both cherry juice and magnesium together. I use the juice for just a week at most and then knock it off, but the magnesium is now part of our bedtime routine.

The body needs magnesium to maintain a state of rest and a lack of magnesium can lead to restless muscles that can keep you awake at night.

Magnesium is nature’s finest relaxant and has a calming effect on the entire body.

Applied directly onto the skin, magnesium is quickly absorbed into the highly porous epidermis, through to the blood vessels and muscles beneath.

For best results, use as a part of your bedtime routine. I gently massage 4 pumps of the lotion onto Bobby and Daisy’s skin about  30 minutes before they go to bed. While absorption begins immediately, it takes 7 days (on average) of continued use for magnesium levels to improve sufficiently and for you to feel the difference.

Shelley x
