My love of ballet flats started, I think, when I fell in love with Kate Moss in the mid-noughties, (think drainpipe jeans, military jackets and skinny scarves). She was just too cool. Before her I had always loved the glamorous supermodels- Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christianson- and then when Kate came along she blew my mind. I loved how comfy and yet chic she always looked.

This iconic Parisian style is a bit of a wardrobe icon and a staple that still continues to be a sell out. Â Worn correctly, they can be a real game-changer. They are perfect for this time of year when it is not quite sandal weather but boots and trainers feel a little wintery and over used.

A pair of plain black ballet pumps is just what a LBD needs—especially if you don’t fancy wearing heels.
They instantly elevate stonewash jeans and tees. Low effort yet oh-so-cool.
Flats are a great option when wearing shorts, as they help to lengthen legs.
The tonal trend is still going strong and the balance of ballet pumps with tailored trousers and a low-key sweater is perfection.
If you’re more of a style maximalist throw on a colour-pop, floor-skimming frock with matching pumps.

P.S; I’m very tempted by these, but these are fab and an absolute bargain.
