This week within my Friday favourites I thought I would also talk about 2 tips that I use to always feel chic and put together.
Ok..
Number 1– Roll up those sleeves. It’s a small detail, but a big statement. If you have a beautiful lining to a jacket it’s a way to show this off. Cuffing your sleeves can make a jacket you typically only wear for work more laid back & trendy. It can break up heavy patterns and so make the outfit less in your face and it can shorten your sleeves without needing tailoring.
Number 2-Roll your pants. Apart from being a quick-fix for bottoms that you didn’t have time to alter, the main reason to roll up your pants is to create a break that gives the illusion of slimmer ankles. Roll up types generally differ in two areas: 1) the height and 2) the thickness of the cuff. Thin, pressed cuffs generally look best with skinny jeans, while thick and bulky ones often complement loose and ragged pants. Then there’s the type of roll. A nicely pressed cuff paired with pointed toe heels creates a smarter outfit, while a messily rolled up cuff goes well with trainers and a simple t-shirt. Allow your cuffing to echo the feel that you are going for.
Finally, the roll up should go above your ankle so we can see the slimmest part, you dont want to add bulk to the area.
Hope these help
