Home bargains…

I seem to have shared quite a lot of items for bedrooms this week, I think this is because as Autumn is drawing in my bedroom is one of the spaces I spend a lot of time in, so I want it to feel super-cosy.

Some top tips for this room. Invest in some art. It will make your space feel bigger without the clutter. Honestly, just one large piece of art will transform the space.

I think beautiful, calming hues are best in the bedroom. Grey is definitely the new neutral. Linen sheets are an absolute must. Cool in the summer and so soft and warm in the winter. I also love playing with textures and layers in my room, it makes a space feel instantly luxurious and rich with character. Linen bedding, woolly cushions, sheepskins and amazing velvets. Mix up different fabrics and layers on the bed. It’s all about contrast and comfort, the room will feel far more intriquing.

I also need my bedroom to feel like a sanctuary, so soft lighting is key. The softer the lighting the calmer the space. If you’re not sure how to achieve this, the easiest thing is to get a few lamps to spill flattering pools of light around, and definitely put your overhead light on a dimmer.
