This is such a good everyday look. I do believe that we should be able to wear leather trousers like jeans. The hi-tops make it casual and the tunic dress covers the parts we worry about (bum). If you’ve still not bit the bullet and bought some leather look trousers, do it, I honestly think you will be surprised at how good they are. You can dress them up with heels for a night out, or down with trainers, Converse or biker boots in the day. I would wear the grey top above underneath the dress with the sleeves of the dress rolled up. I do love layers. The J Crew tops above are fabulous. I have them in navy, black and grey and love them. Other jumper dresses that would look cool is this one and this one, both again from ASOS, this sweater from Mango, I love this Topshop jumper, this one from Mango and finally this one.
