Maternity clothes part 1…

pregnant 1

1. Topshop Oversized Chambray Shirt £30

2. Topshop Maternity Ankle Leggings £15

Not for me though, let’s be clear about that, but I have received several emails asking for ideas. I thought I would start with the basics, the things you need in your wardrobe that will work with everything else and what I found I wore a lot when I pregnant. The leggings will be comfy for both a summer or winter pregnancy and you will find you will wear them a lot! You could wear the shirt open or buttoned up and it will also be great when you have had the baby as easy access for feeding! Wear with biker boots and a parka for winter and then sandals in the summer.

1. Atterley Road Black stripe Jersey top £42

2. Maternity Moto Dark Vintage Leigh Jeans £38

3. Topshop Authentic Maternity Trench Coat £79

I think a lot of the time you can get away with wearing a bigger size in tops, but good jeans are a must. I love these high-waisted jeans from Topshop. I love the colour and that they have a stretchy waistband and so sit above your bump, giving you support. I was always warm when I was pregnant so this trench is perfect for now through to spring. It allows you to keep your style during pregnancy and will go with everything in your wardrobe from jeans to skirts and dresses. Fasten the belt in a knot above your bump and wear with kitten heels for going out or sandals/ballet pumps for a day look. Stripes are always good and I wore stripes all through pregnancy with jeans and skirts and I think the above one is a classic. You will find you will still be wearing your maternity clothes for quite a while after you’ve had the baby so it’s good to invest as they get worn a lot.
