I am definitely tie dye loving at the minute. It’s everywhere you look. It’s makes me so happy and makes me day dream of long sunny days on Ibiza beaches. There’s a hippy, chilled out vibe to it that I just can’t get enough of. Even Daisy is on the band wagon and wrote this post a couple of Sundays ago with her selection for the little ladies.
Being a child in the 80’s could be the reason why. I’m thinking I’m have a serious dose of nostalgia. Wearing tie-dye as an adult wasn’t something that occurred to me until I noticed it trickling into the new-in sections of my favourite high street stores. Then I noticed it taking over my Instagram feed. Tie-dye is proving to be very versatile, but if you are in need of some convincing, keep scrolling for all the tie-dye inspiration you could need. And don’t forget to shop my edit of the chicest tie-dye pieces around.
You need to be quick though as it seems to be selling out the minute it lands. These leggings have been in and out of stock and I’ve just ordered a pair now as there are a few sizes back on-line. If you’re quick you may be able to grab some too.
Some tips:
- Neutralise a tie-dye top by pairing it with white jeans
- Pick out one colour within your tie-dye piece to match the rest of your outfit
- Keep your hair unkempt and wavy to play up the hippy vibe.
- Give a tie-dye sweater a grown-up feel with a blazer and pearls.
- Tie-dye is one of the loudest things you can wear, so counterbalance all those swirls with a muted colour palette.
