Tween style…

I get a lot of comments and emails about how hard it is to dress your tween’s (which seems to start at about the age of 8), so many of you are having difficulties getting them to wear anything that you think is still appropriate. I hear ya! It is getting harder and harder to find things that both Daisy and I agree on. I don’t want her to look like a little girl anymore but I also don’t want her wearing belly tops, heels, hoodies and all black. What’s hard is to not have an argument every time she gets dressed. I want her to feel comfortable and like she has chosen the outfit. The trouble is at this age they just want to desperately ‘fit in’ and it seems to do this they kinda want to look like an 18 year old (and not a classy one at that). So what I try and do is think of the items I always reach for and want to wear. That’s what Daisy and I seem to agree on. Basics. A Breton top, white trainers, skinny jeans, a grey tee, a white blouse, a khaki jacket. Things that mix and match well but she can also add some individuality to. Pattern and bright colours seem to be out of the window. Today Daisy and I have sat down and picked some of our favourites from Boden and h&m. I hope this helps.
